Mossy Cascade
Water, water, everywhere, although in this case, there’s plenty to drink. One of the wettest parts of the country, the South Island’s West Coast measures annual rainfall not in inches or centimetres, but in metres. Lake Matheson
The jewel in the West Coast crown, Lake Matheson, on a still day has reflections par excellence of the Southern Alps. On our visit the mountains were hiding behind a misty veil, but the lake itself was still gorgeous, if not tinged with a little mystery to boot. Map That Image
