Shags Taking Off

Ruataniwha Inlet - Collingwood

The sleepy settlement of Collingwood, and the Ruataniwha Inlet on the Aorere River is the northernmost terminus of SH 60. Despite being in the South Island, Ruataniwha Inlet is in fact further north than the nations capital city, Wellington, at the southern end of the North Island. In fact it is almost on the same Latitude as the North Island town of Levin!                   Map That Image
