Recent Changes

Slowly we are getting more of our photos linked to our Google Maps Page, and vice versa. You will also see a Caption starting to appear alongside each photo. These will be gradually progressed over the next few weeks, until all our images have a little something about them to whet your appetite. Also new is our “PHOTO OF THE WEEK” which will be updated regularly on our home page. Hope you are all doing well in the New Year. Don’t forget to tell your friends & family about us!

Te Wai Pounamu e-book. Be the first – get it now!

We’ve just published our first E-Book!

Titled “Te Wai Pounamu – The South Island -” This 70+ page full colour E-Book presents a stunning protrayal of New Zealands majestic South Island.

Presented in a PDF format this e-book is optimised for a PC size screen, but should still present well on a tablet PC. Note because of the full colour images, and a desire to manitain the native layout and formats, this e-book may not be suitable for the Kindle style e-book readers on the market

Map that Photo

We now have all our New Zealand Photo locations on google maps. That means if you follow this link you can see where our photos were taken. There are links back from Google Maps to the individual photos on this site, so that you can see what photo was taken where.

We’re in the process of adding a Google Map link to individual photo information on this site so you can go to the map from the photo, which you can only do with some images at this stage.

Initially only covering the New Zealand Photos, we’re now also adding our Japan Photos to our Google Map.

We hope to have this process completed in the next few weeks

Back Online

Hi all,

Welcome to Koru Wilderness Images, your home of fine art Landscape Photographs. It’s been a rough year so far for Christchurch, and us, but hopefully things will get better as we head into the second half of the year. We’re heading off on another trip to (for us at least)  unexplored parts of the South Island in a few weeks, so keep an eye out for new Photographs to browse towards the end of the month!

Christchurch Earthquake 22nd February 2011

My family and I were very fortunate to survive the recent earthquake unscathed, although friends have lost family members. Our hearfelt condolences go out to those people, and indeed all in the city who have suffered loss at this tragic time in our city’s history. Know that you are in our thoughts.

Surprisingly our website didn’t go down, despite my thoughts that it would. So we are open for business as usual, although there will be delays in getting images printed and delivered.

The profits we raise from any image sold will be donated to one of the Christchurch Earthquake Recovery funds, up until the end of March (at this stage). this may be extended, but will be reviewed at the time.

Again our thoughts go out to friends who have lost loved ones. Kia Kaha.

God Bless you all.

Aoraki-Mt Cook

A recent visit back to the Aoraki-Mt Cook National Park to visit some old friends, gave us an opportunity to get some new images of Aoraki-Mt Cook , and around Lake Tekapo. Keep an eye out for some of the photos in the New Images Gallery over next few days. Also coming up at the same time will be some photos from a recent photo shoot in Christchurch of an old factory building. Keep an eye out for some these, again in the New Images Gallery
